Yes. Sheffield’s steep streets and split-level, terraced gardens are exactly the kind of site our building method is designed for. Every room is built on site using a concrete pile and galvanised steel leg system, which levels the structure across changes in terrain without the disruption of pouring a concrete slab or extensive groundwork.
Do you need planning permission for a garden room in a South Yorkshire conservation area?
Garden rooms normally fall under permitted development rights, meaning most installations across South Yorkshire, including in Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, don’t need full planning permission. In a conservation area, a single-storey outbuilding in the rear garden is still normally permitted development, though side placement isn’t, and the design comes under closer scrutiny.
